The Porsche V10 F1 engine was indeed put into use but it was heavier, underpowered and unreliable compared to the competition so Footwork had to switch back to a Ford Cosworth V8 after very few races. Yes, even Porsche can make mistakes/trash, don't hide them, tell 'em like they are.

Thank you. Very interesting. Love this class and Brands was my first track in the 60s. Always been a petrol head on 2 or 4 wheels. Rallying was my main competition in the 60/70s. I enjoy the sounds of these cars and admire how technology has become a huge part in the development. Drivers are still a main part of a winning team, probably more so than in F1 today. Rip off in my opinion. The overall structure of a 250 Testarossa is no different than a 427 Cobra Shelby. Superformance and Shelby America are selling these cars for about $80,000. DK engineering wants you to pay $1 million dollars for their cars. The materials used in a Shelby Cobra are no different DK engineering replica Ferrari cars. If you're rich and stupid go ahead and pay it.

F5OCG was driving sedately down Cockfosters Road last Saturday morning. Truly gorgeous car... wonder if it was one of those three there ?

One thing I noticed is the dramatic improvement of build quality between the F40 and F50. The F50 is MUCH better built. The F40 was basically screwed and glued together with just enough to keep the car in one piece.

Ummm, did I just transport into my dream reality?

I was going to get a F1 but it doesn't have any cup holders so I'm out.
